Model ASEAN Meeting Myanmar is the first national youth diplomacy program in Myanmar recognized by ASEAN Foundation, Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was held at Nay Pyi Taw from 15th to 17th February, 2020. Ma Nandar is one of the panellists during the MAMM 2020 Program.

A civil society-centred series of intergenerational and intersectional talks bringing Myanmar’s pioneers of Gender Equality with NextGen Women’s Rights Activists

UN Women’s global campaign #GenerationEquality brings together the next generation of women’s rights activists with the visionaries that were instrumental in creating the Beijing Platform for Action 25 years ago.

In continuing the conversation between change-makers of all ages and genders, we are launching the Generation Equality Dialogues, a civil society-centered series of intergenerational and intersectional talks bringing together Myanmar’s pioneers of gender equality with the NextGen of diverse women’s rights activists in discussions that will also invite the audience to actively participate in this inclusive forum.

The dialogue will be hosted in the Myanmar language with a simultaneous English translation. A sign language translator will also be present.

The event is supported by UN Women, WVL Myanmar and the Embassy of Canada to Myanmar, in partnership with Colors Rainbow, Gender Equality Network, Women’s Organizations Network (Myanmar), Myanmar Youth Stars.
